Catania Fontanarossa Airport (CTA) is the closest and most convenient airport for Giardini-Naxos. Located 52 km away—a drive of approximately 45 minutes—it offers direct flights to major Italian cities such as Milan, Rome, Naples, and Venice, as well as numerous European and international destinations.

You can rent a car at the parking area directly in front of the airport; all major rental companies are represented (SIXT, Avis, Hertz, Maggiore, Auto Europa). Alternatively, taxi services are available.

You can reach Giardini-Naxos from the airport in about 45 minutes by taking the A18 motorway towards Messina and exiting at the Giardini-Naxos tollbooth.

Taormina’s railway station is considered one of the most beautiful in Italy, thanks to its elegant Sicilian Art Nouveau style.
Every train arriving from northern Italy stops at this station. There is a wide range of trains available, from the fast and luxurious “Trainline” or “Eurostar” to the simple yet efficient “Espresso”; these typically depart from Milan, Turin, and Rome, passing through Naples and the Amalfi and Capri area.
